SMC has provided surveying and mapping services for utility corridors and related facilities since its founding in 1989. Airborne LiDAR and/or aerial survey combined with ground surveys or high definition scanning have all played an important part in SMC’s success.
SMC has creatively undertaken detailed land surveys at military bases, water/waste water treatment facilities, schools, parks and sports fields. The use of state-of-art robotic total stations and real-time GPS instrumentation allows SMC’s staff to be responsive to clients’ schedule demands and accuracy requirements.
SMC has successfully completed many surveying and mapping projects for sewer and water main improvement as well as water and wastewater facility renovations. Conventional ground and aerial surveys have been effectively utilized in preparing planimetric and topographic data for the design phase of projects.
